Technical and administrative procedures for the project to provide technical assistance to the Lebanese government.
The project description Objectives / results:
The general goal is to contribute to the modernization of the public administration in Lebanon and to support its stability and support for good management therein. As for the specific goal, it is to meet the need for technical assistance expressed by the Lebanese government in accordance with the priorities defined in the joint action plan between the European Union and Lebanon. The project steering committee (which includes both the Council for Development and Reconstruction, the European Commission, and any other Lebanese public institution concerned) will determine the projects to be funded and implemented within the framework of this decision. The expected results will be subject to the nature of the interventions, but they will always coincide with the main objective of improving good governance in the Lebanese public administration. As for the results that have already been determined, they are:
- improving decision-making and drawing effective and studied policies
-increasing accountability and transparency towards Lebanese citizens through strengthening the administrative system
- strengthening the Lebanese government's ability to coordinate aid.
